Events or Parties

Events or Parties of any type are not allowed. The max occupancy of each Lodge or room must not be exceeded. Non registered guests may not "hang out" or use the facilities.

Wedding and Weddings Night Stays

We do not allow weddings or wedding night stays.
Booking a reservation for a stay does not entitle a bride or groom, family, and friends to use any part of this Lodge or grounds for bridal party wedding preparations, photographs or post-wedding celebrations.

Children

The Bed and Breakfast @ Sea View House is an Adults Only property and is not suitable for children.
Children 10yrs and older are welcome to stay in our Lodges and must be supervised at all times.

Check-in Time

Check-in Time is at the Bed and Breakfast is from 2:00pm - 6:00 p.m.
Check-in Time at the Lodges or Horseshoe House is from 4:00pm - 6:00 p.m.
Later arrivals must be arranged in advance.

Check-out Time

Check-out Time: is 10:30 from both our Bed and Breakfast and our Lodges. If you expect that you will require a late departure, reserving an additional night will guarantee access to your accommodation until you depart.

Deposits and Payment

All reservations require a non-refundable 25% booking deposit on confirmation of a reservation.
A reservation is not confirmed or secure until this deposit has been paid in full by Bank transfer, Visa card, or Master card.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Due to our intimate size, any cancellations affect us significantly. Consequently, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy.
All cancellations must be made in writing including by email and you will receive confirmation that your cancellation has been received. We do not accept cancellations by phone.
As a small business, we are particularly vulnerable to guests who cancel close to the day of their arrival or curtail their stay for whatever reason and so we advise all guests to avail of travel insurance which includes cancellation cover.

Bed and Breakfast

If a guest cancels a bed and breakfast reservation more than 45 days in advance of their arrival date, we reserve the right to retain the booking deposit. If a guest cancels less than 45 days in advance of their arrival or curtails their stay for whatever reason, we reserve the right to charge the full price of the booking.

Luxury Lodge's and Horseshoe House

If a guest cancels a Lodge or House reservation more than 60 days in advance of their arrival date, we reserve the right to retain the booking deposit. If a guest cancels less than 60 days in advance of their arrival or curtails their stay for whatever reason, we reserve the right to charge the full price of the booking.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking when circumstances beyond our control render the bed and breakfast or lodges unavailable (such as flood, inclement weather, lack of power, strikes, pestilence, disease etc). In these cases, the guest is able to re-schedule their booked dates using the deposit paid. We also reserve the right to cancel any booking, at any time at our discretion and in this event our liabilities are limited to a full refund of any monies paid.

Special COVID 19 Cancellation Policy.

Any guest whose booking is impacted by Irish government restrictions affecting travel within Ireland or the operation of our business can reschedule their booking for a date in the future. This means any booking deposit paid will be carried over to a future booking. Rates may differ (up or down according to the season, room - lodge, and weekend/midweek variables). If the Irish government advice is NOT to travel outside your county then you will be unable to fulfil your booking and you must notify us immediately. Failure to do will result in normal cancellation conditions being applied which may result in you being charged in full for your booking.

RIGHT TO DECLINE.

We reserve the right to refuse, alter or cancel a booking, even after receipt of final balance payment. In addition, the company is relieved of all liability should reserved accommodation not be available due to circumstances beyond our control. In such an instance alternative arrangements will be made in similar accommodation, or a full refund will be offered. However, no refund or liability will apply to a situation where a client is requested to vacate, or leaves of their own accord, prior to the expiration of their booking.

BEHAVIOUR.

Please note the following as it’s important that we consider and take responsibility for all guests and families staying with us at Sea View House. We reserve the right to refuse to hand over any lodge to any person who, in the opinion of the management, is not suitable to take charge. Likewise, rental of the lodge may be terminated with no refund at the discretion of the companies officer if clients/occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, endanger the safety or well being of other clients or that of the client himself, cause damage to the property or in any other circumstances deemed reasonable by the officer of the company. On the expiry or other termination of rental, the supervisor or any officer of the company may remove all belongings of the clients from the home left on the property and store or otherwise deal with same as deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the sole risk in respect of such belongings shall at all times remain with the clients.

The following rules apply to the Lodges @ Sea View House Only

 

HOUSE RULES :

  • No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity will be strictly implemented
  • No pets allowed.
  • Events or Parties of any type are not allowed.
  • Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. Rowdy (noisy and unruly) guests will be asked to leave without refund. A noise alert monitoring system is in place to ensure that noise levels are respected
  • No smoking inside the Lodge. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the ashtray provided outside.
  • Sleeping in the guest lounge on the couches is not permitted.
  • Use of Candles, incense, essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) inside the lodge is not allowed.
  • This Lodge shares a garden and car park with another Lodge, please respect the other guests' privacy.
  • Please do not use towels to clean shoes or wipe off makeup.
  • Please keep windows closed if the heating is on.
  • Make sure to turn off the lights, and any electronics when you leave the house. Don’t forget to close the windows and lock the door.
  • Report any damages and/or breakages in a reasonably timely manner. Damages exceeding the security deposit amount must be paid by guests.
  • Wash the dishes, and throw out the garbage in the bins outside before checkout.
  • Checkout is at 10:30 am.

HOT TUB RULES

  • HOT TUB and SPRAY TAN:
    Please be aware that guests wearing Fake Tan or Spray-on Tan, body cream or sun cream are not allowed to use the hot tub. All these products dissolve in the hot tub, discoloring the water turning it cloudy, and will stain the inside of the tub. If Fake Tan ends up in the hot tub, the hot tub will need to be drained, filters cleaned, then refilled and reheated prior to the next guest arriving.  This can take up to 5hrs. In this situation, an additional charge of 150euro will apply.
  • Please shower with soap and water before entering to remove sunscreen or creams.
  • Do not bring glass, cans or tableware in or around the hot tub area.
  • No smoking or eating in or around the hot tub.
  • Please enter and exit the hot tub slowly.
  • If the temperature is over 100F or 38C DO NOT enter the hot tub.
  • Persons under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol may not use the hot tub.
  • Recommended limit of 15mins per session, please cool off before re-entering.
  • Staying in the hot tub too long may result in dizziness, fainting and nausea.
  • problems, diabetes or any serious illness should not use the hot tub.
  • Don’t swallow hot tub water or even get it into your mouth
  • Please ensure after use that jets, lights and air are turned off.
  • Please replace the cover. Please do not sit or lie on the cover. Capacity of the hot tub is 4 persons.
  • By using the hot tub and/or by signing this form you accept total responsibility for the hot tub and all persons using it. Users of the hot tub do so at their own risk.

CREDIT CARD PRE AUTH NOTICE:

On check in we will require credit or debit card details to cover any additional charges incurred during your stay. 
We will pre-authorise your card €400.
A ‘pre-authorisation’ is not a charge.  The guests issuing bank/credit card company holds the pre-authorised
amount temporarily from the available balance of the card holder’s account in the event we need to charge the card.
Charges may be made for 

  • Damages/ breakages caused to the lodge and contents beyond reasonable wear and tear.
  • Extra Cleaning above and beyond normal levels.
  • €150 charge if a hot tub needs to be drained and refilled due to breaking of the hot tub rules.
