Events or Parties

Events or Parties of any type are not allowed. The max occupancy of each Lodge or room must not be exceeded. Non registered guests may not "hang out" or use the facilities.

Wedding and Weddings Night Stays

We do not allow weddings or wedding night stays.
Booking a reservation for a stay does not entitle a bride or groom, family, and friends to use any part of this Lodge or grounds for bridal party wedding preparations, photographs or post-wedding celebrations.

Children

Teens and Tweens are welcome at our Lodges. However our lodges are not suitable for children under 9 yrs old.

Check-in Time

Check-in Time at the Lodges is from 4:00pm - 6:00 p.m.
Later arrivals must be arranged in advance.

Check-out Time

Check-out Time: is 10:30.~
If you expect that you will require a late departure, reserving an additional night will guarantee access to your accommodation until you depart.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Due to our intimate size, any cancellations affect us significantly. Consequently, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy.
All cancellations must be made in writing including by email and you will receive confirmation that your cancellation has been received. We do not accept cancellations by phone.
As a small business, we are particularly vulnerable to guests who cancel close to the day of their arrival or curtail their stay for whatever reason and so we advise all guests to avail of travel insurance which includes cancellation cover.

If a guest cancels a reservation more than 60 days in advance of their arrival date, there will be no additional charge. If a guest cancels less than 60 days in advance of their arrival or curtails their stay for whatever reason, we reserve the right to charge the full price of the booking as Liquidated damages.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking when circumstances beyond our control render the bed and breakfast or lodges unavailable (such as flood, inclement weather, lack of power, strikes, pestilence, disease etc). In these cases, the guest is able to re-schedule their booked dates using the deposit paid. We also reserve the right to cancel any booking, at any time at our discretion and in this event our liabilities are limited to a full refund of any monies paid.

Special COVID 19 Cancellation Policy.

If within 30 days of your checkin date your airline cancels your flight due to COVID-19, or your Govt or the Irish Govt prevent you from traveling due to COVID-19 you can transfer the full amount paid to a future reservation in 2022 or 2023. This means any amount paid will be carried over to a future booking. Rates may differ (up or down according to the season, room - lodge, and weekend/midweek variables).

 

HOUSE RULES:

We want all our guests to create lasting memories and to ensure that they have as comfortable a stay as possible during their stay in Doolin and at our Lodge. We know rules are boring But these rules ensure we can provide all guests with a great experience.
If you are looking for a place to relax, reconnect with friends or family, enjoy good food, explore Doolin and the Geopark then our Lodges are ideal for you. However if you are a Hen or Stag party or you are looking for a place to party late into the night them our lodges are not for you.

  • Events or Parties of any type are not allowed including Hen and Stag Groups.
  • No third-party visitors allowed at anytime. Registered guests only.
  • Rowdy (noisy and unruly) guests will be asked to leave without refund.
  • No noise audible outdoors after 10pm and before 8am - This is a peaceful residential area
  • A noise alert monitoring system is in place to ensure that noise levels are respected
  • Some Lodges share a garden and car park with other Lodges, please respect the other guests privacy.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Sleeping in the guest lounge on the couches is not permitted.
  • No smoking in the house. Smoking is allowed on outdoors, and an ashtray is provided for butts. Do not dispose of butts in the bushes or grass.
  • Use of Candles, incense, essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) inside the lodge is not allowed.
  • Report any damages and/or breakages in a reasonably timely manner. Damages exceeding the security deposit amount must be paid by guests.
  • Wash the dishes, and throw out the garbage in the bins outside before checkout.
  • Checkout is at 10:30 am.

HOT TUB RULES

  • HOT TUB and SPRAY TAN:
  • The water in our Hot Tubs is keep crystal clear. Guests wearing Fake Tan or Spray-on Tan, body cream or sun cream are not allowed to use the hot tub. All these products dissolve in the hot tub, dis-coloring the water turning it cloudy, and will stain the inside of the tub. If these products end up in end up in the hot tub, the hot tub will need to be drained, cleaned and flushed, then refilled and reheated prior to the next guest arriving.  This can take up to 5hrs. In this situation, an additional charge of 300 euro will apply.
  • All guests must shower with soap and water before entering the hot tub remove sun-cream or creams.
  • Do not bring glass, cans or tableware in or around the hot tub area.
  • No smoking or eating in or around the hot tub.
  • Persons under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol may not use the hot tub.
  • Recommended limit of 15mins per session, please cool off before re-entering.
  • Staying in the hot tub too long may result in dizziness, fainting, and nausea.

RIGHT TO DECLINE.

We reserve the right to refuse, alter or cancel a booking, even after receipt of final balance payment. In addition, the company is relieved of all liability should reserved accommodation not be available due to circumstances beyond our control. In such an instance alternative arrangements will be made in similar accommodation, or a full refund will be offered. However, no refund or liability will apply to a situation where a client is requested to vacate, or leaves of their own accord, prior to the expiration of their booking.

BEHAVIOUR.

Please note the following as it’s important that we consider and take responsibility for all guests and families staying with us at Sea View House. We reserve the right to refuse to hand over any lodge to any person who, in the opinion of the management, is not suitable to take charge. Likewise, rental of the lodge may be terminated with no refund at the discretion of the companies officer if clients/occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, endanger the safety or well being of other clients or that of the client himself, cause damage to the property or in any other circumstances deemed reasonable by the officer of the company. On the expiry or other termination of rental, the supervisor or any officer of the company may remove all belongings of the clients from the home left on the property and store or otherwise deal with same as deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the sole risk in respect of such belongings shall at all times remain with the clients.

CREDIT CARD PRE AUTH NOTICE:

On check in we will require credit or debit card details to cover any additional charges incurred during your stay. 
We will pre-authorise your card €400.
A ‘pre-authorisation’ is not a charge.  The guests issuing bank/credit card company holds the pre-authorised
amount temporarily from the available balance of the card holder’s account in the event we need to charge the card.
Charges may be made for 

  • Damages/ breakages caused to the lodge and contents beyond reasonable wear and tear.
  • Extra Cleaning above and beyond normal levels.
  • €300 charge if a hot tub needs to be drained and refilled due to contaminated water.
